Markup or margin? Calculate both
A 50% markup is not a 50% margin. Enter cost and see selling price, markup, and margin, so you price for real profit. Nothing is saved.
Enter cost and one more value, and the result appears here.

Markup vs margin
Markup is on cost
You buy for $100 and sell for $150: markup is 50%, because the $50 profit is measured against cost.
Margin is on price
Same example: margin is 33.3%, because the $50 profit is measured against the $150 selling price.
How to set price
If you want a 30% margin, do not add 30% to cost: you would end up near 23% margin. Choose "Target margin" and the calculator gives the right price.
