What is Webhook?
automated notification between apps
A webhook is a message one app sends to another when something happens: for example when a deal is won or an invoice is validated.
Example
The CRM sends a webhook that a deal was won. The receiving app can create the client in ERP or send a welcome email on its own.
Why it matters
Instead of asking “did anything happen?” you get told. Good webhooks are signed so the receiver can verify the message came from the right place.
