What is ERP?
Enterprise Resource Planning
An ERP is software that puts day-to-day business work in one place: clients, appointments, invoices, stock, team, and documents.
Example
A clinic uses an ERP for appointment calendars, client records, invoices, supply stock, and staff schedules: instead of four apps and a notebook. When someone books, the slot appears on the calendar, can become an invoice, and can reduce stock when needed.
Why it matters
Without an ERP, the same information gets written in several places, and every copy is a chance to err. A good ERP does not mean “everything at once”: start with one module, then add the rest over time.
How to know you need one
If client data lives in many places, appointments overlap, or you learn revenue only at month-end, it is time. A quick check: the 12-question ERP checklist.
